Techies, directors, and writers should read this book to practically and collectively harness this powerful language. Granted, some of the shots filmed for the book are somewhat rough, and you can’t help but wish you could also see the actual film clips being discussed, but it all works and definitely helps you see the different christopner, where the camera is, how the actors move, etc.

Mmaster is meant to be counterbalanced by the text describing the camera set up, but these are often very sparse and lacking in details. Although the examples can be long winded, it’s still an easy read for a novice, and a passable refresher for the working camera op.
